Weekly Update 6/18/14


It's been HOT! Not a very large update this week. 

News around our backyard farm:


  • Nothing new with the Pleasant Hills Chicken Saga!
    • Apparently they need more time to decide and was not even brought up in last weeks meeting. 
  • Our blueberries are starting to ripen!
  • Strawberry season is about over :/
  • Potatoes and Garlic are getting really large!
    • We had to hill up our potatoes, some where starting to show!

What's Going On In Our Garden
Cabbage worms have gotten a hold of our kohlrabi plants
We've been picking them off nightly 

Our container carrots are about ready to be picked

Potato box has some nice potatoes

We FINALLY have the start of our broccoli! Seems like this should have happened back in May  

Being antsy while loosening the dirt around the garlic! These guys have 2-3 more weeks to grow :)
